Fluorescence is the reaction of a diamond under UV rays. This phenomenon can be observed on around 30% to 40% of diamonds. An electric color, most often blue, arises from the stone under a UV lamp.
Diamonds of color D-E-F with a lot of fluorescence will have a milky appearance under natural light
Diamonds of color I-J and beyond that exhibit fluorescence may have their yellowish color substantially attenuated.
